Shahid Kapoor is busy promoting Haider. While he has full faith in the film doing well at the box office, he also knows that it is not a typical masala Bollywood film. Haider is being promoted commercially but by the looks of its promos we can tell that it falls in the parallel cinema category.About his film not being mainstream Shahid was quoted saying, “Sometimes you see a lot of films that are not considered mainstream and tend to get picked up [for the Oscars] because those film-makers don’t have worries like, ‘How will I make the people of this country like it?’ They make cheaper, smaller and tighter films, and want to experiment with the kind of audience that might like it.”
Now it may be a long shot but we think that Sasha is mildly hoping that his film Haider, also starring, Shraddha Kapoor, reaches the Oscars race! What do you think
